- This brings up two very good points. One that Apple actully has
- liquidity, a thing absent in most corps and it's that has prevented it
- from being taken over already. The other point is that Apple will not die
- because it dominates those markets which It targets: k-12 (less now
- unfortunately), publishing (80%), graphics, and other niche markets. If
- Apple didn't even have a performa line, there wouldn't be any discussion
- here. However Apple found that they could still make a good investment
- here because of the Win95 hype. The hype got people interested in GUI and
- sought the best and so MS helped Apple in a big way. Why is the stock
- deflated then? Several reasons, mainly to do with market analysts (notice
- I could put a 'c' after the L) booing Apple after their stoch didn't go as
- high as was predicted (in june or something). Apple will survive, and in
- the meantime keep up the rumors about Sony buying Apple, it makes
- investors buy like crazy.
-
- btw, if someone were to buy Apple, I would prefer Sun Microsystems to buy
- it. That or Mobil Oil
